Shot@Life is a United Nations Foundation campaign working to ensure everyone in the world has access to lifesaving vaccines and all children have a shot at life.

In support of this public health initiative, we partnered again with the UN Foundation to develop the brand, business and communications strategy for a new philanthropic platform they were launching.

The platform, lovingly called Sunshine, would connect parents and grandparents with a new pathway for giving back to underserved populations, and specifically, children around the world.

Sunshine was developed in partnership with big box retailers to formalize point of sale donations toward global immunizations programs through a singular platform.

The platform was also designed to maintain connectivity to donors and potential donors through editorial content, including compelling stories of children, parents and communities whose lives were changed by these critical immunization efforts.

I worked with the Shot@Life team on their corporate partnership strategy, I oversaw the development of the Sunshine brand, and I helped write the communications strategy for the platform rollout.

APCO has long partnered with the UN Foundation on global initiatives, particularly in the public health space. 10 years ago APCO helped the foundation launch ‘Shot@Life’, an advocacy organization designed to educate policymakers, opinion leaders and the public about the value of immunizations on a global scale.

Developed with the team at APCO in partnership with branding partners, Outright.
